RANCH HISTORY
In 2014, the Maddox Family purchased a hay ranch in Deseret, Utah looking for a quality alfalfa hay supply for their family's dairy out in Riverdale, California. Included in the ranch was 1200 acres of permanent pasture. Their passion for cattle coupled with multiple export requests for Angus embryos, spurred the commencement of a genetically elite herd of registered Angus cattle .
GENETIC BASE
The Maddox Family's deep rooted history in elite registered dairy cattle genetics spurred our pursuit of the very best in Angus genetics. Steve Maddox's interest quickly turned into an obsession in finding the very best registered Angus. Embryos from Cam ranches in Georgia, Vintage Angus, Easy Angus & DHT Ranch became their herd's genetic base. "If we are going to do Angus we're going to do it right."

In the Maddox family's short history in registered Angus genetics, they have already sold over 400 embryos both domestically & internationally to countries including Vietnam, Spain, Israel & Chile. Maddox Ranch is proud to be a part of their first inaugural bull sale where they have teamed up with top breeders to offer a selection that will be hard to refuse. Semen, embryos & live cattle are available upon request.

The Maddox Family name is congruent with cattle & deeply intertwined with elite cattle genetics.
The family's history in Holstein genetics dates back to 1957 where their foundation began with the gift of one Holstein calf in exchange for a promise that their patriarch, Doug Maddox, would attend college. Doug did not negate on his word and from there the passion for the Holstein cow, and cattle in general, flourished into a recognized name worldwide in the dairy industry.
In 2014, Steve & Stephen Maddox, Jr. set out searching for land out of state to source higher quality hay for the family's dairies in Riverdale, California & landed on a piece of property in Deseret, Utah. With the hay ranch came 1,200 acres of permanent pasture. It was only natural for the Maddox family to begin filling the pasture land with elite registered Angus cattle. Steve Maddox Sr.'s interest in registered Angus quickly transformed into an obsession sourcing top genetics from highly acclaimed sales nationwide!
Today, the Maddox Ranch prefix spans between both the Utah & California locations & is home to top Angus genetics that will propel any genetic program to the next level.
